Guy W. Murray, received his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in 1983. He received his Juris Doctor from Whittier College School of Law in 1986, where he was an Editor for the Whittier College Law Review. For 10 years his practice concentrated on Insurance Defense. He worked exclusively for AV rated law firms in Los Angeles County, and on the central coast in San Luis Obispo County.He has an extensive civil litigation background, including court and jury trial experience. In 1996 he opened his own office in Nipomo, and in 1998 joined with Nigel A. Whitehead to form Murray & Whitehead, where he worked until 2007.He is currently a sole practitioner at the The Law Offices of Guy W. Murray, which is located only 10 miles from the Santa Maria Superior Court, and 25 miles from the San Luis Obispo Superior Court, serving clients throughout the central coast of California from Ventura to San Luis Obispo.Mr. Murray is a member of the California State Bar Litigation Section Trusts and Estates Section, and The San Luis Obispo County Bar. He has served as a court appointed arbitrator by both the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Superior Courts. Mr. Murray was also a faculty member of the Continuing Education Department of California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo from 2000 to 2005.Mr. Murray has served as the past President of the Nipomo Chamber of Commerce, and the Nipomo Incorporation Committee, and on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Nipomo.
