I am currently the lead Citrix engineer. Shortly after joining Jones Walker I inherited a two site Citrix Xenapp 7.7 environment running on Server 2012 and two Netscaler (now ADC) 8200 load balancers. I then rebuilt the environment on Server 2016 and upgraded everything to Xenapp 7.15 with Citrix Workspace Environment Manager to handle user experience. Later I migrated image management from Citrix PVS to Citrix MCS. Recently I upgraded everything to 1912 LTSR. In addition to Citrix I deployed and currently maintain Securelink. This cloud-based system provides 3rd party vendors access to Jones Walker systems while recording and auditing all of their activity.I worked on a multiyear project to move the firm from Elite to Aderant Expert where in addition to infrastructure I maintained documentation and carried out extensive testing.I also successfully piloted, deployed, and now maintain Varonis Data Advantage. Leveraging this tool I cleaned up permissions on the firm’s unstructured data shares.I am the lead engineer maintaining cost capture on multifunction copier devices with Kofax Equitrac and Kofax Sharescan and while maintaining all of the firm’s print servers.Finally, I am part of the team that supports Jones Walker’s Datacenter which is a Flexpod Environment (currently VMware vSphere 6.5, Cisco UCS 4.1, & Netapp ONTAP 9).

West Jefferson Medical Center (WJMC) became part of LCMC Health in late 2015. In this position my responsibilities from WJMC transferred and expanded to the rest of the LCMC hospital system which consists of five hospitals as well as all of their clinics. My primary responsibilities in this position are virtual desktop infrastructure, server and storage infrastructure. Around this time I deployed vRealise Operations Manager for Horizon View (v4v), App Volumes, and User Environment Manager. These replaced Liquidware Stratusphere and ProfileUnity. Currently we are planning on consolidating Datacenters as well as condense our VMWare View deployment.

I started off as a Desktop Technician tasked with running LANDesk to both image PCs and push Software installations. I also provided tier 2 support for the help desk team. In less than a year, I moved on to be a Computer Engineer which included the same tasks I had as a Desktop Tech, but added on supporting and reorganizing Active Directory. Around this time I worked on two proofs of concepts for VMWare View. I was also tasked with spearheading a Standard Operations Procedures initiative to get all IT infrastructure and software teams to get all of their documentation into a standard form and saved to a centralized location.As VMWare View transitioned from POC to production I became a Systems Engineer. Here I handed off LANDesk and imaging to my replacements on the help desk team and took on maintaining Server infrastructure in our datacenter. During this time, my team and I set up a Flexpod environment. VDI was also deployed to all WJMC Clinics. While this was going on, I was able reorganize all user and computer objects in active directory. Maintenance Schedules and Change Control was established to be more proactive with our maintenance. As we built and started to migrate our data center to a new location (DC2), I became a Senior Systems Engineer. I aided in migrating virtual servers to DC2 as well as P2V or decommission legacy physical servers to increase our virtualized footprint to over 90%. While migrating VMWare View to DC2 I built a parallel VMware vCenter and Horizon View 6.0.1 environment and deployed it to it’s own Flexpod running on all flash storage on which I built all Volumes, Datastores, and CIFS. I think cut over all users to this new productions environment. I also operationalized the process of cleaning inactive object in Active Directory.

Provided support on computers, networking, telecom, and mobile phones across multiple locations for a small non-profit. I established standardized disk images where as previously PCs were deployed with out of the box OEM Windows. I removed administrator rights from all users. Additionally I set up a POC of Active Directory 200, developed a Microsoft Sharepoint Services site, cataloged Standard Operating Procedures, and developed a document sharing strategy for executive staff.

Provided tier 1 & 2 troubleshooting on computers, networking, and telecom across local law enforcement and a prison. I was lead on making disk images for all computers and laptops. Performed basic accounts maintenance in Active directory. Authored or updated standard operating procedures for everything from disk imaging, common issues, or installing complex custom applications. Deployed radio IP & wifi access to squad car laptops. Lead on deploying and imaging workstations to a new 911 call center.
