Uniworld River Cruises, Inc. was acquired by The Travel Corporation in 2004 and, today, is the leader in luxury river cruising. Uniworld is the recipient of numerous industry polls and awards, such as Travel & Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler . The company owns and operates 13 ships in Europe and charters ships in Portugal, Russia, South East Asia, Egypt and India. The company also markets river cruises in China on the Yangtze River, working with a local operator. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles with 120 employees. The European headquarters is based in Switzerland with 30 employees who report into the LA headquarters; the Swiss office oversees over 500 team members employed on the ships.

The Travel Corporation Canada is the umbrella company created to oversee all of the brands that are sold and marketed in Canada. These include Trafalgar Tours, Insight Vacations, Uniworld River Cruises, Contiki, Busabout and AAT Kings. My initial brief was to merge all of these companies into one office and integrate all back office operations: Reservations, Documentation, Air Services, Human Resources and Finance. Once the integration was complete I remained as President to oversee our Sales & Marketing efforts, manage a growing call center operation and assigned responsibility for the local P&L.
