The MSU Alumni Foundation seeks to engage alumni and friends of Montana State University by strengthening their connection to MSU in a variety of capacities. Through our programs, events, and giving opportunities we advance the network of MSU to support students and secure resources to better Montana State.• Manage a portfolio of 125+ high-capacity donors and prospects.• Research, Identify and build strategic relationships with potential donor prospects.• Solicit major gifts ($25k+) from individual, corporate, or private foundation donors.• Lead regional fundraising development in Washington D.C. and areas within Montana. Travel regularly to regions to meet with donors and prospects.• Consult and educate donors and prospects on planned giving opportunities including gifts of stock, real estate, trusts, and bequests.• Confidently plan and lead fundraising initiatives- including strategic planning, development of marketing materials, goal setting, implementation, and evaluation.• Actively advise two college deans on strategy, donor, and alumni engagement.• Write reports and prepare presentations to communicate fundraising initiatives to donors, university advisory boards, and community organizations.

Following completion of the Student Ambassador Program, I was offered a 12-month contract to serve as a Graduate Ambassador. Traveled within seven regional areas of the United States for 2 weeks each month with the purpose of engaging with alumni and friends of MSU. The goal was to connect individuals through the Five Points of Engagement (Join, Give, Serve, Participate, Invest). Developed and executed a strategic approach for identifying and securing meetings with alumni prospects. In 12 months, over 200 face-to-face meetings were completed (averaging 18/month) in addition to managing a portfolio that included 60-100 constituents qualified as having interest in being engaged with the university. Provided feedback, proposed improvements, and engaged in mentoring opportunities within MSU Alumni Foundation's Ambassador Program and it's team members.

The Montana State University Alumni Foundation (MSUAF) Ambassador program is represented by a select group of high performing students of Junior and Senior status attending MSU. Student Ambassadors not only demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, but also exceptional campus and community participation. The student body at-large does not have the ability to apply for a position as all introductions are surfaced through campus referrals from administrators, faculty, or current Ambassadors. Students tapped for interview and selection come from varied backgrounds and educational pursuits and all share a true appreciation for MSU and the opportunities afforded to them by attending MSU, as well as a desire to understand the goals and initiatives of the Alumni Foundation. The Ambassador Program has three central objectives; 1) providing training and travel opportunities for Ambassadors to engage with Alumni Foundation constituents; 2) ensuring student representation on campus and throughout the United States at a myriad of events where public speaking occurs; 3) creating and implementing new programs and initiatives intended to educate other MSU students about the Alumni Foundation.

Focused on team-building, goal-setting and accountability for those goals, tone-setting and modeling collaborative leadership, respect, responsibility, building a shared vision for our team, and managing staff and/or camper conflict. Served as organizational representative when dealing with parents.Responsible for staff success and ensuring their success was recognized. Responsible for final evaluation and recommendations for future employment.
