In 1981, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey. Serving as the founder and CEO of Greater Alarm, I assembled a team of highly motivated individuals that earned nationwide recognition for their contributions to growth, innovation, and customer experience in the electronic security, life safety, and custom electronics industry. Concurrently, I had the privilege of being appointed as a board member for the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services under two governors of California.Following the sale of my company in 2004, I was called upon to play a key role in launching the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in 2007, an industry conference, and have since remained actively involved as its chairman.In 2011, I embarked on a new chapter in my professional journey, establishing DECO Ventures LLC. I find fulfillment in assisting entrepreneurs and executives in rethinking innovation, customer experience, leadership, and growth.Over the years, I have been honored with numerous business awards for my volunteer service in the electronic security and life safety industry, including Life Safety Alliance's Top 40 Thought Leaders in Security & Life Safety, California Alarm Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, induction into the Security Sales & Integration Hall of Fame, and Electronic Security Association’s Sara E. Jackson Award.As a published author of industry articles, keynote speaker, and moderator, my journey continues, fueled by a lifelong commitment to learning from exceptional businesses and individuals.
