About Gert Van Den Eynde
My research interests are linked to the accurate neutronic modeling of nuclear reactors. Both the use of neutronics codes as well as their improvement and development are my core business. Since these codes require a HPC environment for real-life reactors, I keep track of new HPC initiatives and developments. Next to my research interests, I'm also involved in the Belgian Nuclear higher Education Network (BNEN) where I am responsible for the exercise sessions of the course "Nuclear Reactor Theory". Next to that I teach nuclear reactor courses at different levels ranging from high-school students over reactor operators to nuclear engineers.Specialties: My main experience lies in the computational aspects of neutronic calculations using deterministic and stochastic methods, both steady-state as well as dynamic.I have teaching experience in the field of nuclear reactor theory, nuclear reactor systems and numerical methods. Keywords: nuclear reactor analysis, neutronic calculations, safety evaluations, European projects (FP5, FP6,FP7, Horizon 2020), nuclear reactor theory education.
Listed skills include Nuclear Engineering, Numerical Analysis, Nuclear, Science, and 21 others.
