The sequences of control actions that are sent throughout each Gigafactory are optimized with respect to energy cost, setpoint error and equipment reliability. Tools of the trade include Python, GPU Clusters, MySQL, and many PLC brands. To date, this control policy has saved millions of dollars in Gigafactory OpEx and has resulted in zero factory downtime. Pre-Tesla:Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering - MIT. Thesis research, conducted in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab//Distributed Robotics Lab, proposed a decentralized multi-robot path planning control law that combines geometric and stochastic methods using a mixing function to adaptively change the closed loop patrolling paths and speeds of a team of robots to minimize path length and consensus tracking error, and stably bound accumulating sensory information in unknown, dynamic environments. Advisers were Rus and Slotine, directors of CSAIL and the Non-Linear Robotics Lab, respectively.Using this patented research, I co-founded an intelligent transportation start-up, TaxiSG, that provides both passengers and ride sharing companies’ drivers with a real-time path planning app that reduced customer waiting time and empty occupant driving distance up to 70% when compared current Singapore driving data.
