Developed the validation method for the Torque Monitor (TM) system on Ford’s Autonomous Vehicles (AV). The TM system compares the output torque to the requested torque ensuring there is no unintended vehicle motion or acceleration while driving. Tested prototype AVs and led efforts to modify requirements and design based on resultant data. Reviewed new requirements and assisted in changes to the torque monitor system design.

Continually improved these systems developing requirements, FMEA, boundary diagrams, state flows, timing diagrams and other design documents. Found issues and led teams to identify and implement solutions in both prototype and released vehicles.

It covers the fundamental of various machines, and how to design them. This includes the designing of pulley, or gear systems, as well as bolts and screws. The teaching assistant role was to teach the class when the professor was unavailable, as well as teach the lab class, and tutor any students that needed extra help.

Acted as suspension team lead for the FIT Mini Baja competition team. The team had to design, build and race, an off-road vehicle similar to an ATV. The position was to lead a team of students to design the suspension of the vehicle. This entailed modeling the suspension in CAD software and conducting FEM analysis in ANSYS. After this it included the building of the vehicle and physical testing before competing at the competition in Auburn, Alabama.
