Tapcentive is an in-location marketing platform that unifies mobile interactions with physical experiences to delight consumers and drive retail and brand engagements. The company's technology combines the use of existing brand apps with NFC and BLE-enabled touchpoints that deliver in-location experiences that are instantly gratifying and compelling. The platform includes a cloud-based engagement system and touchpoint management tools that simplify program management. It also helps brands elevate their mobile apps to "top of phone," incentivizing downloads and encouraging ongoing usage. Tapcentive will help shopper and brand marketers to drive online to offline behaviors, increase loyalty, and gain new consumer insights.I was personally involved in all architectural and design decisions, and was a primary developer on all components of the cloud platform (Python, Mongo, Javascript/Bootstrap/Backbone/Angular, etc) and mobile application SDKs (iOS and Android). In addition, I developed firmware features in our hardware device (Atmel/Nordic Semiconductor processors), and in our GlobalPlatform SmartCard applet. Finally, I designed and supported SDKs for third party mobile apps, including developing documentation and interfacing directly with outside developers.I managed a small team of contractors, and setup and maintained the lightweight agile process the engineering team followed.
