Early stage USD and RMB VC fund ● Sourced deals in the TMT area, specifically consumer oriented companies with an AI focus. Covering Education, healthcare, fintech, and enterprise service providers.● Evaluated, executed market research, and performed due diligence on target companies.● Worked with founding partners on the establishment and anchoring of the RMB fund in Shanghai and Hangzhou.● Helped with fundraising for the RMB fund and managed LP relationships

Responsible for expanding the Corporate Banking business of ICBC USA, specifically targeting cross border M&A deals and cross-border investments. Reported directly to the CEO. Duties include:● Deal sourcing, origination, marketing, and relationship management for ICBC’s corporate banking business, mainly targeting large scale US bound Chinese investments and China bound US investments. Clients include Chinese SEOs, large private corporations, and PE/VC firms. Mainly focusing on TMT and Real Estate. Sourced deals include:● M&A financing, Standby Letters of Credit● Commercial Real Estate & Construction loans ● Fund management for PE/VC firms● Deal and loan structuring, risk and market analysis, financial modeling, due diligence and client onboarding. ● Closely worked with the bank’s underwriting department● Collaborated with other financial institutions in issuing syndicate loans● Assisted the ICBC M&A team in pitching to potential buyers● Assist the CEO in strategic market expansion activities, writing business plans and proposals, project management, and execution. Including the opening of ICBC Seattle branch and ongoing strategic planning of new branches in the Silicon Valley area.● Rigorously network and build relationships. Research and identify market trends, as well as rules and regulations. Connecting resources for clients and assist in client’s expansion needs in the US.● Build awareness and promote ICBC/s brand image and reputation in the Bay Area. Responsible for PR duties and relationship management with local government and the San Francisco Chinese Consulate. Attend and speak at business, social, and community events in the Bay Area on behalf of ICBC. Was known as the “face of ICBC USA” in the Bay Area Chinese community.

Project Experience Highlights:● M&A buy side financial statement due diligence for a $50 million deal● Current state assessment, GAP analysis, and future state target operating model design for the Finance Operations department of a major US Bank. ● M&A/divestiture/finance transformation project for a major technology company in the Silicon Valley.● Process flow creation and improvement for the mortgage foreclosure department of a major US bank.● Designed a roadmap tailoring a loyalty program and credit card launch for a sporting goods retailer.● Vendor risk management for a top 3 credit card carrier.
