Research economist in the National Center for Environmental Economics, a division of the EPA's Office of Policy. I support the advancement of economic and environmental justice analysis for a wide variety of EPA regulations covering toxic chemicals in the workplace, PFAS in surface and drinking water, and effluent limitation guidelines of the Clean Water Act. Aside from my role in environmental regulation, I conduct independent research on the role of air and water quality in public health. I also lead efforts to improve data capacity of the Agency with respect to drinking water quality and disproportionate impacts of federal regulations.

I'm a co-instructor of Econ 475: Environmental Economics with my fantastic colleague, Bryan Parthum.

Georgia Policy Labs is a multi-disciplinary consortium of education, policy, and economics researchers at Georgia State University working alongside state and local government agencies. My responsibilities included compiling special education and funding formula records of five school districts over two decades. Among other tasks, I also generated policy briefs, provided assistance with grant-proposal writing, wrote official project approval forms, and performed background research for the Child and Family Policy Lab.

I was awarded a Second Century Initiative Research Fellowship to work with distinguished university professor Tim Sass. In this role I helped to evaluate a social-emotional learning experiment in one of the largest school districts in the nation by cleaning decades of student education data, analyzing it, and co-writing an 80-page report. I also performed data collation and analysis for two other major projects, each in collaboration with the Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER). The first project explored the role of principals in shaping student achievement, and the second investigated interstate patterns in student academic growth.

The Urban Studies Institute is an interdisciplinary laboratory designed to research the unique issues facing cities and urbanizing regions. In this role, I worked with Professors Dajun Dai and Jan Nijman to create a geodatabase of urban farms in the metropolitan Atlanta region. I helped to generate this database from the ground up, first performing on-site interviews of local farmers to populate our survey database and then assisting with database construction and analysis after the surveys were completed.

Instructor of record to a principles of macroeconomics course of 120 students.

Research assistant for Associate Professor Carlianne Patrick. I provided GIS support for projects on property value capitalization in charter school attendance zones. I also worked on research projects related to the demand for city incorporation, the effects of million dollar facilities, and agglomeration impacts of mortgage interest deduction policies.

I graded assignments and provided office hours to over 60 students.

I assisted in developing research projects, created weekly news updates covering national charter school activity and research, drafted summaries of relevant academic articles, and made graphics to display performance data for the commission's schools. I also learned about the role of local government in shaping education policy.
