    There was a daily checklist of Jobs that had to be processed and monitored throughout the day on various systems Mortech(HP) for ordering or Unix system (Richter) for Retail processes. Which include, tape backups, printing of daily/monthly reports, Customer Catalog and web orders, Bank files etc. There were Day and Night procedures as well as weekend processes. Calls were filtered through the Helpdesk and would come from all VCS facilities. We at the Helpdesk troubleshooted what we could fix ourselves and then brought in the Technicians or Programmers as needed. Helped the technicians with many duties and showed a willingness to learn anything new to expand upon my duties. This included how to build a PC from scratch, install and configure all company software used. MS Office, Windows-98 through XP, Forecasting software, phone system monitoring software, ZoomText etc... We do have Macintosh Systems as well and was taught some troubleshooting on them, but not as extensive as with a PC. Helped maintain and create network logins/profiles for all the various systems. Helped create/maintain all Helpdesk procedures for our department. Assisted our Technicians and Programmer remotely or over the phone when there were emergencies. Helped with a charitable donation made by VCS to Weston Wilder Memorial Library I installed/configured 2 PCs with the State Library Information System software and set them up with printers so their patrons could have access to the Internet as well as for a new Vermont History discussion group formed at the Library.

    Open and process customer returned merchandise, which included data entry for customer refunds or exchange orders through our Mortech system as well as refurbishing the merchandise for back in stock or to be donated,employee sales etc. Worked with customer requests for product information, such as clothing measurements, quality inspected items and shipped to customer directly as well as brought to the attention of any product issues that would need to be addressed to Merchandising and Inventory Control departments as needed. Any customer requests for needed parts for items purchased in our Catalogs. I setup part numbers, locations etc...in our Mortech system so Customer Service could order the part. The orders would be sent directly to me to pack and ship to customer. Took on the Return to Vendor process- returned defective items to our vendors also worked with the Inventory Control department on Shipments that were incorrectly received from our vendors that had to be returned to the vendor. Cross trained in other departments mostly Picking/Packing during Busy Season(Christmas)
