Participated in a five-month program that engages with the reality of living in Israel Palestine through social justice work, spiritual learning, intentional community, and cultural and language exploration. Traveled across the region, joining communities in solidarity work and witnessing occupation in different forms. Facilitated workshops for my cohort regarding systems of occupation and land- and community-based resistance organizing, and co-developed other learning experiences exploring themes from colonialism to spiritual technology, Empire to environmental racism. Joined All That’s Left, an anti-occupation collective aimed at expanding the diaspora angle of resistance; helped to create educational programs, assisted in media and legal support, and participated in non-violent social actions.Taught in a Storytelling Project in the South Hebron Hills, co-facilitating workshops for Palestinian activists and partners with varying English-language abilities on sharing their stories using different frameworks and platforms. Employed non-hierarchical teaching methods and engaged with cross-cultural communication differences while building individual and community-wide support systems for non-violent co-resistance.

Managed logistics and facilitated a working retreat for Tanenbaum Peacemakers, a network of people who are faith- and interfaith- based grassroots peacemakers and have been awarded the Tanenbaum Peace Prize. Organized conference spaces, ran errands, created communication pathways, and attended to anticipated needs while ensuring that sessions ran smoothly and acting as the support of the support for the Tanenbaum staff.

Planned, coordinated, and executed activities as a camp counselor for a swim and gym summer camp run by the University of Pittsburgh. Taught advanced swim lessons, collaborated with fellow counselors, and supervised gymnasium activities for children ages 5 - 13.

Ensured the safety of pool patrons through team-based preventative safety measures and by enforcing pool policies and regulations, rescuing swimmers in need, and providing necessary emergency care.

Prepared and served coffee beverages and ice creams while regulating workspace in accordance with food safety laws. Developed skills related to customer service and general management.

I worked in conjunction with Parque la Libertad, an organisation of human security and social inclusion that seeks to improve the quality of life of the surrounding communities through its economic, social, environmental, and developmental programs. I researched the interaction between urban green spaces and human development, with special attention towards children and senior citizens, provide Parque la Libertad background research and evidence for writing grant proposals geared towards increasing the green spaces in their location to further their development goals.

I worked with children and adults to further their swimming abilities while increasing my own interpersonal communication skills.
