The Komen Greater Detroit Affiliate was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2016 after separation from the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, who started the "Komen Detroit Race for the Cure" in 1992. As the president of the Board of Directors, and interim executive director, successfully led a team that built the framework and led the transition of "Komen Detroit Race for the Cure" from an event planning team, to a $1 million-plus revenue generating "Affiliate" within the Susan G. Komen Affiliate network. Positioned the organization to expand Komen’s work and educational/awareness programming throughout Southeast Michigan.

Manage operations, fund development and grant processes for the Susan G. Komen organization and serve as Race Chairperson for the Komen Detroit Race for the Cure.

Managed marketing/communications, process improvement, event management and fund development support for the organization. Led the smooth transition of leadership from the outgoing president and CEO , to the incoming president and CEO.As Event Chairperson for the 2017 NACME gala, secured Robert F. Smith as keynote speaker and raised over $200,000 to support scholarships for NAMCE engineering and STEM scholars.

Provide Operational and Communications support to the President of Ford Customer Service Division and 5,000+ organization.

Management of operations for the office of the Group Vice President and CIO (3 CIO's from 2002 - 2015). Planning and execution of the CIO senior leadership meetings and offsites. Internal and external communications and public relations for the CIO's 10,000+ employee organization. Management of Corporate Citizenship for the IT organization including key galas that raised over $2 million to support re-branding and technology driven enhancements to The Henry Ford museum's exhibits to enhance the customer experience for the museum's million+ annual visitors. Also raised over $1 million for UNCF to provide scholarship dollars to underrepresented minorities. Additional fund raising support provided for JDRF, March of Dimes and other key charitable organizations.Supported development of IT's Preferred Supplier program and managed supplier relationships for the Office of the CIO. Managed and supported many other "special projects" and senior leadership projects.

Led strategic direction for the development of key diversity programs that increased the retention of African American employees at Ford Motor Company. Increased the recruitment of African American employees in FAAN to create a data base of volunteers that successfully supported FAAN programs. Identified program funding and led the execution of key strategic events and fundraisers. Assisted in the creation of mentoring programs and summer intern onboarding processes to support the transition of underrepresented minorities into the Ford corporate environment. Managed program and fundraising compliance of FAAN programming with Ford Motor Company policies. Led strategic plan to recruit, mentor and train FAAN membership for leadership roles, both in FAAN and in Ford Motor Company.Chairperson of the FAAN Black History month program. Through strategic planning, grew engagement of Ford leadership, company suppliers, Ford customers and the metro Detroit community to increase attendance at annual event from 400 attendees to over 1,200 attendees at peak. Engaged top talent for keynote roles and recognized key community and national leaders. Led FAAN golf outing which raised thousands of dollars for UNCF.

Dual reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the VP & CIO of Ford Motor Company responsible for developing, managing and supporting the technology strategy for the Board of Directors.

Management and execution for 12-Together Program, a nationally renowned peer counseling program developed for implementation in the Detroit Public School system and after documented success, the program was replicated across the country through a Skillman Foundation grant. - Managed program development in over 25 Detroit public high schools and middle schools. - Trained teaching and counseling staff in peer counseling - Recruited and trained hundreds of volunteers in peer counseling for facilitation roles in 12-Together Program - Managed external relationships with corporate sponsors - Maintained parental communication and engagement throughout the program year
