Oversaw the consolidation and migration of approximately 30 websites from an outdated content management system into 13 websites within the UNC-hosted WordPress environment. Worked with multiple constituencies within the Finance and Operations Service Center of Excellence to create a single, all-encompassing portal for various types of service requests. Managed two employees whose primary responsibilities involved content management and electronic newsletter publication. Consulted on multiple campus-wide committees on web accessibility and service excellence. Provided technical expertise for vendor selection and migration of the University’s policy repository from the previous vendor to the current one. Created new web applications for managing business applications within the Divisions of Finance and Operations and Institutional Integrity and Risk Management. These include a registration system for the office of Protection of Minors on Campus after the previous vendor stopped supporting an older system and a tracking system for Risk Management based on an old Access database. Programmed new web applications for campus-wide usage, including a tuition estimator, student fee requests, merchant application and renewal, OneCard electronic signature, and Commuter Alternatives Program registration. Re-architected and enhanced existing Finance and Operations applications, including an energy dashboard, go.unc.edu, maps.unc.edu and several smaller Division-based applications. Initiated development of additional new WordPress sites and managed revamping of existing sites, such as Alert Carolina and the Office of Ethics and Policy.

Responsible for all technical aspects of 14 School of Law websites, including database administration and website development and programming. Developed all website systems from the ground-up, using a custom-programmed content management system and additional add-on applications to enhance various business-related online utilities. Provided expertise in current trends related to website design, development, and management.

Redeveloped existing online training system for a state-funded, University-based program. Added additional functionality for an integrated training management system.

Development and deployment of completely database-driven website using ASP.NET. Applications created include a customized CMS, online forums, department directory, weekly scheduling system, vacation request system, online evaluations, customized site logs and reports, faculty curriculum vitae and continuing medical education management, and inventory and purchasing systems. Development of automatic reminder service for site maintenance and e-mail reminders. Maintaining department workstations, converting all from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000.

Systems administration and user support for approximately 500 computers and network printers in the department. Upgraded operating system software and applied security patches when necessary. Served as webmaster for the department, both in migrating the website from the UNC campus servers to a new department server and updating content, but also in managing the web server itself. Managed the software and hardware for four computer labs, both PC and Macintosh.

Programming in several languages for national survey on drug abuse (computer-based). Programmed major portion of actual questionnaire. Trained surveyors themselves on how to use equipment.
