Manage a team of 12 responsible for bids and tenders for Misco. Key outputs include:- Standardising quotation and proposal documents from the sales floor of over 250 staff- Sourcing, qualifying & responding to bids and tender opportunities- Negotiating competitive bid pricing for strategic quotations- Adding value to opportunities by including up-sells & services to all quotes

Live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and work from home, communting to Misco head office in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire once a week. Progressed from Bids and Tenders Assistant to Bids and Tenders Specialist within a year of joining Misco. Some of my key achievements have been:- Developed a comprehensive bid library.- Developed and implemented an effective qualification process, which has been fundamental in improving Misco's tender win rate from 22% to 45%. - Winning tenders for major multi million pound public sector framework agreements giving Misco access to opportunities they otherwise would be locked out of for up to 4 years. - Winning major one off supply tenders up to the value of £450k.Key skills used in this role have been:- Bid planning (including developing a schedule of works for each major bid).- Coordination of team resource and prioritising work loads - Communication at all levels both internally and externally - Collating and editing varied responses as part of large bids.- Reviewing terms and conditions from a commercial/risk perspective prior to official legal review.- Customer focused proposal writing.- Eye for detail.
