In my role, I take on a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of artwork production. This includes understanding and following detailed work instructions, specifications, workflow diagrams, and SOPs to ensure consistency and quality in our work. I am accountable for organizing and saving all artworks in designated server locations, adhering to the appropriate document control file naming specifications.Part of my duties involves actively participating in process improvement efforts and various production meetings, where I contribute ideas to foster a positive creative impact on our business. Additionally, I have the opportunity to learn and develop within our team environment through direct mentorship, which allows me to continually grow in my role.During the pre-flight and organization of incoming jobs, I meticulously check customer-supplied files against hard copies to ensure accuracy and size conformity. I align job instructions with the provided artwork or references and verify color accuracy and resolution to meet our quality standards.In the realm of production art, I receive product definitions from sales, project managers, or production managers, and then manipulate files to match customer specifications. This involves adjusting artwork to meet printing requirements and client preferences, such as minimum type and line thickness, as well as assigning color builds and Pantone ink swatches to art elements. I also incorporate artwork into printer-supplied die drawings and create mechanical art extensions based on provided briefs or elements.Furthermore, I ensure that files are organized according to defined job folders and server structure, and I prepare them properly for achieving upon project completion. Additionally, I produce proofs for internal checks and customer review and approval as specified on the order. This comprehensive approach ensures that our artwork production process runs smoothly and efficiently.
