Following merger of Heil Trailer International and SERVAGroup to create EnTrans International, joined the company to create new mission and lead post-merger integration and alignment of vision, culture and global market offerings. EnTrans combines energy and transportation related technologies to combining market leading expertise in leading and bulk transport and oil field specific trailer mounted packages with down hole applications and fracking. Combined, EnTrans has 14 manufacturing facilities with 2,800 employees across six countries. Current brands include Heil Trailer, SERVA, Kalyn-Siebert and SERVA SJS.

Enovation Controls was formed by the merger of FW Murphy and EControls, bringing together a suite of analogue and digital control systems with wide application across multiple industry groups. Key products and technologies include natural gas engine controls which enable Commercial Vehicles to be powered by Natural Gas, Control Systems for Natural Gas Compression systems and digital display units for stationary and mobile power skids.During tenure, integrated the two companies under a common strategy, reorganized to support the strategy and instituted a focused new product development process rooted in market needs. Solidified major natural gas engine markets in China and instituted sound management and control systems. Launched production of fuel systems for Natural Gas powered Commercial Vehicles in China. Lead the business to historic record results while CEO.

ASIMCO Technologies is a portfolio of 10 JVs and 6 WOFE’s, and the Chinese supplier of commercial vehicle components and one of the largest, foreign-owned automotive components manufacturers in the PRC supplying high-tech engine component, 11,000 employees globally. Hired to improve operational performance, develop group business strategy, and transition ownership from the US private equity investor group. Faced with cultural hurdles and resistant behavior, developed strategy, applied diplomatic measures, and incorporated sound operational/financial controls.Led 30 vice presidents and general managers of 13 company operations, in addition oversaw three companies located in US, Japan and Europe. Supplied all “Top 10” diesel engine manufacturers in China, including Cummins, plus PSA, Volkswagen, and Caterpillar. Sold company to Bain Capital in 2010. The final result was excellent financial success for all investors.

ECS is a global supplier of solutions and key components for fractional horsepower motors to customers in the global automotive, power tool and consumer electronic markets – 11 plants in 8 countries (US, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, South Korea and China). As President and CEO, reported to Board of Directors comprised of investors. Recruited by private equity owners to consolidate and integrate three investments into ECS Group. Determined strategy that restored stability and created profitability. Set up a sourcing office in China and phased out US based sub-component manufacturing.Restructured three NA manufacturing companies, provided customers with an integrated approach to market solution for magnetic, carbon and commutator products, started two new facilities in China, formed alliance with Chinese manufacturer that relocated and expanded US-based commutator business and rebuilt management team. Positioned customers Robert Bosch, Black & Decker, Ford Motor, Delphi, Siemens, Samsung, Hyundai and Johnson Electric to use cost effective solution approach to reduce existing supply base.

Magnequench is a global supplier of rare earth magnetic products and solutions to customers in the computer, data storage, automotive and industrial markets with 10 wholly-owned and 3 JV plants located in China, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America. Magnequench was spun out of General Motors Company.Led restructure of facilities and improved profitability following market downturn. Drove initial acquisitions in Germany and Switzerland. Formed two divisions – Magnets and magnetic assemblies and Powder. Restructured Powder Division by negotiating closure of USA based UAW plant and replaced with new facility in China.

Xolox is a global privately owned manufacturer of OEM components for hard disk drives (data storage) with operations in US, Malaysia and Singapore, with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. Major customers included Seagate, Western Digital, and Logitech.Led turnaround of this over-leveraged company. Upgraded technology and management skill sets; established operational controls and financial discipline; hired new executive, manufacturing and engineering teams; and rebuilt relationships with key clients Western Digital Corporation and Seagate Technologies.Relocated all Indiana shipping, administrative and manufacturing operations to three newly formed Malaysian subsidiaries. Formed outside Board and initiated corporate governance. Implemented JIT and lean manufacturing techniques.

Zollner Pistons is a global, privately owned OEM supplier of heavy-duty pistons and automotive components. Led restructuring efforts during economic hardship. Directed operations in US and Canada with 1,200 employees. Completely turned around company and restored profitability.

Worked on 30+ acquisitions, divestitures, recapitulations, as well as numerous audit and tax consulting engagements. Reported to Chicago and New York offices.
