Managing Director For Clean The World Asia
CurrentResponsible for strategic business development, CSR marketing, communications, media engagement and client management across Japan, Greater China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Taiwan.Hygiene-related illnesses are the leading causes of death for children globally, claiming the lives of nearly 6,000 children under the age of 5 every day – more than AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis combined.Studies have proven that handwashing with soap is the single most effective way to prevent those deaths, reducing morbidity rates by 50% or more.Even in developed countries like Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, personal hygiene and cleanliness are essential factors for transitioning from poverty to self-sufficiency. In developing countries soap is available to poor families, but they treasure soap so much that washing hands before they eat or after they use the toilet is not encouraged. CTW is championing a hygiene revolution. We are here to create sustainable behavior change, making sure good hygiene habits are impacting the poor and under-served communities around the world! We have a significant impact on global health. Globally, CTW has diverted +7.3 Million metric tonnes of in-room amenity waste from landfills, distributed +44 Million bars of soap and provided green hygiene education to over 127 countries globally, empowering children, women and their families.
