Currently Associate Lecturer in Criminology at Arden and External Examiner for Criminology, Risk and Safeguarding University of Cumbria. As a former mature student I reference life experience in my teaching being equipped with excellent interpersonal skills honed as a result of diverse former work roles, eg: as crew on board the QE2 cruise liner and as a contractor working for prestigious clients across Europe at a range of venues including the Cannes Film Festival. Post graduation I supported young ex-offenders for NIACRO (Northern Ireland), and, post PhD I managed a support service for vulnerable adults in London, Northampton and Luton. Currently I act as a critical friend on a CPS scrutiny panel in Leeds.My 5 years spent living in Northern Ireland completing a PhD funded by DELNI (with immense gratitude to them) was a memorable, fascinating education in itself and as such enlightened my perspectives on equality and diversity.
