Justin Kim is a Vice President in Citigroup’s Healthcare Investment Banking Division based in San Francisco, where he focuses on capital raising and strategic advisory for biopharmaceutical companies.Prior to joining Citigroup, Justin spent a half-decade in Lazard’s Global Healthcare Group specializing in M&A and strategic advisory for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. At Lazard, he covered a broad range of assignments including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, structured partnerships, as well as topics on shareholder activism and defense.Most notably, Justin has worked on behalf of large pharmaceutical clients on transformative transactions, such as Gilead’s $21bn acquisition of Immunomedics. He also supported numerous emerging biopharma companies including ImmunoGen’s China partnership with Huadong Medicine and eventual sale to AbbVie for $10.1bn.Justin received graduate degrees in both finance and biomedical sciences from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and the Duke University School of Medicine. He also attended UCLA for his undergraduate education where he studied physiology and biomedical research.
