Noofangled was conceived in August 2013 to pursue my passions for design, home-grown manufacturing and creative solutions, why does furniture always have to be so square?

Focused on providing consultancy, implementation and change management support to businesses through delivery of business system optimisation and improvement.

Delivery and supervision of front line emergency interventions at a range of operational incidents, in addition to prevention and protection activities.

General management of a team of approx. 30 specialist, on-site machine operators. I developed of an integrated business process management system encompassing enquiry management, cost control, production of project specific H&S and quality documentation, payroll processing (feeding into project costs) and linking with internal procurement systems. I was responsible for cost control and budgeting for the department with a turnover of ~£3.5m pa. Project management of welding development projects (with budgets of up to £600k) focused on semi-automated welding robots for external blue-chip clients including client liaison throughout deployment phase.

(Formally CERAM) Project management of multiple research and development contracts for external clients, management of small teams of technical specialists. Controlling small project budgets (circa £10-20k), facilitated and contributed to technical problem solving, advising on technical risks, and client liaison. Project lead for an EU funded project on the production of single crystal SiC for use in high temperature semiconductors (multiple partners including industrial collaborators, CERN, University of Lougbrough).

Morgan Group Technology Ltd, was the central research facility of Morgan Group Plc. Responsible for developing and leading collaborative projects between the parent company's various, and diverse, materials production companies. Development of business proposals, commissioning of market research to inform decisions and directions of investigation. Coordination of a highly creative, highly skilled team of specialists in order to generate ideas, develop lab-based feasibility studies followed by engagement with production companies to implement pilot production and testing.

Working on a collaborative project coordinated between the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, the Institute of Physics of the Czech Republic in Prague, Filtronic Comtec and Morgan Ceramics. Studying structure/property relationships, focussing on Q-factor in dielectric microwave resonators.
