I want to use my skills to make a positive impact on the world around me. I am curious with a passion to learn, understand and communicate, and having a naturally analytical approach, I appreciate the importance of detailed planning and fully understanding contexts. My degree in social sciences and my current career in teaching have been based on my ability to research, analyse and adapt, reflecting my logical approach to solving whatever challenge I am set. Travelling and living abroad has given me an open mind, resilience and a flexibility of approach. I am an experienced English Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in secondary education. I left the classroom after 5+ years in the school setting, and I am currently a freelance tutor and learning facilitator outside the classroom. I have developed a “Portfolio Career” to stay up-to-date with educational practises, develop the skills that make me a well rounded teacher and extend my impact. I uphold all of my professional commitments to the best of my ability, which requires a huge amount of organisation, self-motivation, initiative and adaptability, as well as very strong communication and interpersonal skills. I have a DBS certificate, clean driving license and recent Prevent and Level 2 safeguarding training.
