Studied Medicine at the University of Leiden Netherlands and fully qualified as a medical doctor in 1977 after only 6 years Studied Orthopaedic Surgery at the Unversity of Pretoria and qualified as an Orthopaedic surgeon at the end of 1983 .Wrote several articles in International journals and delivered lectures at local congresses during this time .Studied Law at University of Pretoria BLC LLB from 1994 to 1998 , while working in a full time practice as a Orthopaedic and Spinal surgeon , obtained 16 distinctions In total , and was admitted as an Advocate to the High Court of SA in September 1999Qualified as an Independent Medical Examiner ( CIME ) by writing and passing the exam at the AMA in 2000Qualified as an Accredited Mediator in Medical Negligence and Commercial Matters ( UCT) In 2015Started Doctoral study in Law at Tukkies under the guidance of Prof Pieter Carstens about : Talem qualem cases in Dutch , French , German and English speaking world - will finish this study in due timeSpecialties: Medico legal work , spinal surgery and orthopaedic surgery, mediation
