Completing my degree in December 2021, I registered as a Candidate Civil Engineer in May 2022 with the Engineering Council of South Africa. My short term goal is to gain sufficient design experience in sewer networks, water networks, stormwater networks and roads. To be able to achieve my medium term goal of registering as a Professional Civil Engineer in 2026. In the long term, my goal is be to become a successful and established project manager in the civil industry progressing myself up to a Directorship role.What excites me about working as an engineer is that no day is the same. Whether it is filled with complex technical challenges, a day out on site or simply catching up on admin tasks, I enjoy each challenge as it presents an unique opportunity to learn a new skill or to improve an existing one.Outside of the office I try to maintain a healthy work life balance by spending time with family, running and relaxing in nature.
