Harvey Granat is currently a Managing Director at CSG Partners, a fast-growing boutique investment bank focused on solving the needs of middle-market companies and owners. It is the country's leading ESOP Advisory firm, having successfully completed more than 250 ESOP transactions. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling/Carl Marks Capital, Inc. a small business investment company (SBIC) he founded in 1988. From 1975 to 1989, he was the President and CEO of Sussex Leasing Corp., an equipment leasing company. He was also the founder and CEO of Granite Equipment Leasing Corp., an American Stock Exchange listed company, which he ran as a financial services company for sixteen years.Harvey is a Past Chairman of The National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC). He is also Past Chairman of the Northeastern Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NERASBIC), the industry’s Regional Board, and a Past President and Director of The American Association of Equipment Lessors, the equipment leasing industry’s association. He has also participated at the White House Conference on Small Business.He was one of the recipients of the 1995 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards sponsored by Ernst & Young, INC Magazine, Merrill Lynch and others. He is Past Chairman of the Advisory Board of the School of Management at Syracuse University, his alma mater. Harvey has served on the board of directors of several private and public companies.In addition to his business interests, Harvey is a successful entertainer, music historian and educator of The American Songbook. He hosts a very popular series on The American Songbook at 92nd St Y in NYC, now going into its 5th year. He has presented programs at many leading venues including Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts, Florida Atlantic University, Canyon Ranch Resort, Feinstein's at the Regency and others.
