58 years strong, Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is one of the oldest nonprofits in the Wood River Valley. Our origins are rooted in the Sun Valley Ski Club (SVSC) – our foundation was established as an integral part of the club in 1966 as a way for the SVSC to provide racing opportunities for juniors.Since that time, SVSEF has helped numerous junior racers achieve dreams of Olympic medals, World Championship podiums, World Cup victories, and National Championship gold. More importantly, we have helped an innumerable number of athletes become skiing aficionados for life. Not only are the alumni of the ski foundation some of the best skiers on any mountain, anywhere, they are “setting the bar high” in all facets of life including family, work and community.Our Vision: To positively influence the future of the non-profit snowsport industry through purposeful thought leadership, innovative programming, and meaningful community collaboration.Our Mission: To provide exceptional snowsport programs for the youth of the Wood River Valley thereby enabling each participant to reach their athletic potential, while developing strong personal character through good sportsmanship, strong values, and individual goals.Our Philosophy: SVSEF views the mountains as the world’s best classroom, where a child’s imagination is captivated and their potential for learning, growth, and inspiration is realized.

We created VéloSkiCaffè out of pure passion and a realization of the international shared values and sense of adventure between cyclists, skiers, and fans of local coffeehouses worldwide. Our vision is to create a cycling-, skiing-, and coffee-inspired lifestyle brand and gathering place that celebrates these pastimes and the places we adventure—while giving back to our communities' youth in a meaningful way.

As the Director of Programming for the Denver Advertising Federation, I developed and managed all Speaker Functions, the Annual Awards Show and Special Events for the DAF - working hand-in-hand with various volunteer committee members for the respective events and programs.My position with DAF was not full-time. During this time, I maintained freelance Marketing/PR projects with clients such as Rudy Project Eyewear and Go Fast Sports & Beverage Company.

In this position I helped manage national high-end corporate events for clients such as Tommy Hilfiger Golf, HBO, Starz-Encore and The Cable Center. Services included venue selection, contract negotiation, top-to-bottom event design, logistics, on-site management and follow-up through final billings, summary and recommendations. Select weddings were also added to our portfolio on a time/resources available basis to assure client attention.

During the four years I was with Thomas & Perkins, I worked first as an Art Buyer in the Creative Department - researching and managing freelance illustrators, photographers and designers on a project-by-project basis, while coordinating and negotiating all usage rights and licenses for print media. After two years, I transferred to Account Services to manage the client relationship with AT&T primarily, while also helping with pro-bono client work such as The Denver Zoo and the Colorado Children's Chorale.

My internship at Vail Associates (now Vail Resorts) first introduced me to the world of sports marketing - and I attribute my career direction to this internship under Pat Peeples, now owner of Peeples Ink. During my college internship, I was responsible for writing press releases, putting together press kits and guiding visiting media on the mountain as a ski guide. Some of the key events I was honored to work on during my internship included the American Ski Classic, World Cup Skiing and the grand opening of Beaver Creek Resort.
