-Worked on a novel and ECO Friendly approach to develop fibers of higher tensile strength which might have a wide range of applications from being used in tyres to textile.-Worked and demonstrated the use of waste cotton material which can be brought back to the value chain as a part of sustainability project and produced fibers with the same functional properties as compared to the ones produced from native pulp.-Worked on process improvement projects like reducing the water consumption in the production plant by analysing the various options and streams for recycling, using six sigma tools to improve the unit operations of a process

-Developed and tested a process for purification and concentrating the spin bath after regeneration of cellulose from the dope in excel process of cellulose based fiber production.- Studied various types of resins that can be used for the process and identified two among them which was efficient from the process as well as economics point of view.-Analysed the optimum amount of resin to be used based on the incoming flow, the impurity load in the fluid and the ratio of anionic to cationic resin also was optimized.-Studied and optimized the various process parameters involved in concentrating the solution after purification using Ion Exchange techniques. For concentrating the solution Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE) was used.-P&IDs and design calculations were done for the process to be scaled up to pilot level.-Demonstrated the process in pilot scale with a recovery percentage of ~99.
