Working with United Way of Defiance County, I was always learning about what goes on behind the scenes in a non-profit organization while also gaining event planning experience. This is where I learned my passion for working with community outreach programs and empowering others.My various responsibilities included:-Attending board meetings-Joining in on webinars-Billboard creation for the 2016-17 campaign-Volunteering with various programs United Way of Defiance County funds-Clerical workDefiance County Hot Air Balloon Festival: This annual event hosted by United Way of Defiance County and Community Engagement Center is a fundraiser for community involvement and volunteering. My responsibilities for this 2000+ attended event included:-Marketing & Promotion-Event Planning-Print Design-Logo Design-Tshirt Design-Volunteer ManagementImagination Library: An internally funded program that sends free books to children ages newborn-5 years old each month. My responsibilities for this program included:-Direct mail a survey to benefitting families to rate effectiveness of program-Create a comprehensive report on the findings

Main duties included: planning hall events for 26 girls, planning dorm-wide events for 300 girls, conflict resolution, fostering relationships, discipline and upholding student code of conduct. While my time as a Resident Assistant, I also served as Assistant Resident Director. This position assigned more duties such as room checks and being in command while the Resident Director was unavailable. I also assisted in the interviewing process for new Resident Assistants.
