I attended the summer Catalyst leadership program which offered a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the traditional leadership program, focused on the stem fields. We developed leadership skills within a community and problem-based context. I had the opportunity to build, test, research, present and collaborate on projects rooted in Engineering design, business and entrepreneurship and research.  Visit labs and research space on campus, attend talks and workshops from Graduate students and Faculty.  The Summer program provided the opportunity for me to gain experience practicing design thinking and problem solving while learning how to build ideas into a business and use my technical skills.
