My research and teaching interests fit well with the requirements of teaching or research positions. I am now working as an associate professor in Shahid Beheshti University of medical sciences. My work provides a useful link between community outreach and dental education in the department, encouraging research and teaching collaborations. I was awarded my Ph.D. by the department of oral public health, university of Helsinki in July 2007. My thesis was entitled “Preventive Orientation and Caries Management by Iranian Dentists”.I am eager to dig more on the social determinants of oral health to find ways for creating supportive environment for oral health promotion, undergraduate and postgraduate dental education to find opportunities for training more community-oriented dentists, and evidence-based dentistry to cooperate in establishment of databases for informed clinical and health policy decision making. I have about 15 years teaching experience on community oral health (both theoretical and practical), and research methodology. As required I would be happy to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate modules of both a research-led and a methodological nature.I am also aware of the importance of the pastoral care of students and take the role of tutor very seriously. I am experienced in liaising with colleagues to help students with a variety of problems. During the last 20 years, I have attended in more than 20 national and international scientific congresses and presented results of my researches.I have acted as a reviewer of some national and international medical and dental journals for reviewing of about 170 articles. In short, my mission is to impart my passion for public health to students in such a way that it contributes to the entire community.
