Research Assistant in Wind Turbine Control at the Controls and Optimization Lab • Conducted a comprehensive study on wind turbine modelling and controls focusing on modelling turbulent wind conditions and the design of torque and pitch controllers.• Integrated the OpenFAST model of the NREL 5 MW reference turbine with a Kaimal-based wind simulator in Simulink, creating a seamless and efficient simulation workflow. • Implemented multiple collective pitch controllers for the aforementioned turbine in Simulink.• Evaluated the robustness of the wind turbine system through multiple simulations under various turbulent wind conditions and for different pitch controller designs.

Summer Research Intern• Extensively reviewed the literature concerning the development of Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) in Asia.• Collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to write detailed reports on three specific EIPs located in China.• Worked with the same team to develop a conceptual model for the potential implementation of an EIP in Lebanon based on our research findings.• Acquired valuable experience in research methodology, critical thinking, technical writing, and teamwork.
