Design aircraft models for a real-time simulator to implement aircraft dynamics and to conduct Human In The Loop (HITL) simulations that provide studies for new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Control procedures.Work on aircraft dynamics models for high fidelity air traffic simulations. Design and develop programs that support the interfacing and development of applications and software tools that enable simulations of air traffic control (ATC) systems and their airspace interactions. Support FAA NextGen simulations of future hardware/software technologies. Design and develop aircraft dynamics validation utilities, aircraft ground procedures, and departures. Assist in implementing 4- and 6-degrees-of-freedom aerodynamics models for fixed-wing aircraft, airships, and helicopters. Programmed and modeled UAS/UAV blimp for major UAS/UAV integration into FAA civilian airspace simulation study.

As a member of the Active Safety Vision Systems group I developed Matlab GUI applications for confirming and analyzing test data. Updated and modified software code for new software releases. Installed updated code onto test vehicles and verified system functionality. Collected and analyzed data gathered by performing crash tests on “balloon vehicles”. Wrote technical reports on findings during data collection procedures including recommended plans of action. Synchronized data using pre-engineered code, plotted data, and gathered statistics derived from the tests to verify system compatibility.
