The EDS (Entrepôt de Données de Santé) gathers the administrative and medical data of more than 8 million patients that come to public hospitals in and around Paris. It is the largest public medical data warehouse in Europe.The EDS played a decisive operational role during the COVID-19 crisis, giving daily feedback on the situation as it evolved on the frontline. There are more than 50 ongoing COVID-19 research projects as well.I accompanied the Big Data team of the EDS by putting in place a test infrastructure and a deployment strategy for their heterogenous and highly sensitive production environments. I am also contributing to the open sourcing of their exploratory analysis solution, Cohort360.

Originated and owned the following architecture choices: web app framework (Aiden used to be a Slack plugin), RPC framework (centered around simplicity and type safety), infrastructure (ECS clusters, logging and auditing, probes, secret management), and developer tools (including CI/CD).Open sourced 5 projects, described in a number of technical articles.Mentored software engineers and conducted technical interviews.

YesDr was a medtech startup aimed at better interfacing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, used for care, with Electronic Data Capture (EDC), used for clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
