Appear at the Executive Office of Immigration Review court and the USCIS Asylum Office to represent clients at their individual merit hearings and asylum interviews.Analyze benefits for complex immigration cases and asylum, VAWA, and U-Visa applications.Conduct prep interviews with clients in advance of court and asylum office interviews. Appropriately consult and interact with highly sensitive clients regarding difficult topics pertaining to their asylum and immigration claims.Interpret and apply policy, regulations, and precedent decisions to assess eligibility benefits and build cases.Prepare declarations, documents, motions, and briefs for the Immigration Court, as well as experience writing motions to reopen and reconsider, and preparing briefs for the Board of Immigration Appeals.
