- Worked as FBLite (Facebook's Android app for low-end devices) full-stack engineer and implemented new ways for users on FBLite to share their "on this day” memories to stories.- Navigated through FBLite's complex stack, consisting of 2 server layers and 1 client layer, following Facebook's modern coding design practices to build the camera roll media filter based on time frames using Hack and Java.- Enabled a new share flow and overcame challenging infrastructure challenges such as state consistency and session problems between the two server layers by cooperating with other teams.- Ran and analyzed A/B test results to monitor metrics, optimized CPU performance, and improved user experience.- Increased the number of daily active story producers by over 450K(+1%) and 200K(0.4%) for two projects based on 45M users per day.

Deep Neural Network Model for LiDAR based Robot Route Planning Controller Development· Participated in developing a navigation method to learn the end-to-end control policy using the CNN model.· Built the V-REP robotics simulation environment and designed kinematics mode of robots using Lua script.· Collected massive amount of training data by C++ and Lua scripts which automate over 1000 paths’ traversal and generate 140,000 frames of training data, which significantly saved manpower costs.· Assisted in training the CNN model in TensorFlow by Python API and fine-tuned model by adding memory information which decreased the running time and energy cost by 28% also increased success rate from 83% to 92%. · Participated in summarizing the findings in a paper and published to IEEE International Conference on Unmanned System.
