As an Internship Supervisor and Academic Tutor, I lead and mentor interns at Refugee and Immigrant Transitions, providing them with strategic guidance for their professional growth. I tutor Math and Science classes to ELD (English Language Development) and SIFE (Students with Interrupted Formal Education) students at San Francisco International High School and Visitation Valley Middle School. My approach includes crafting tailored tutoring plans that foster language development and deepen comprehension of scientific and mathematical concepts, empowering students to build essential skills and confidence in their studies.

As a Paralegal Fellow at CARECEN SF's Central American Resource Center, I managed and processed a wide range of immigration applications, including DACA, TPS, family visa petitions, adjustment of status, and U visas. I provided personalized, one-on-one support to clients, guiding them through complex legal procedures. Collaborating closely with attorneys, I gathered and organized essential case documentation to ensure timely and accurate application submissions. My responsibilities included conducting legal research to support cases and ensure regulatory compliance, as well as preparing and reviewing legal documents for precision and adherence to guidelines.

As a DreamSF Fellow, I connected immigrant communities with services, programs, and resources throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I provided interpretation services and assistance at community events, including SF Pathways to Citizenship Initiative workshops, and conducted outreach to support immigrant communities.

I developed a Grant Tracking website to streamline staff workflows and empower students to securely monitor their scholarship and USP grant applications, reducing the need for repetitive email exchanges with USP counselors. Additionally, I created a centralized platform for USP counselors and staff, enabling efficient data entry and retrieval from multiple USP databases to improve accessibility and grant management processes.
