Manage all Research activities at field and officeCoordination with line managerIn collaboration with the program team and coordination, determine the strategic direction of the program in the short and medium term and map out activities, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and budgets.Manage the program team. Ensure that they are wholly involved in program planning and direction. Report regularly (as requested) to the line manager

• Lead and guide ACTED’s WASH Program in the base. Ensure that planned activities are successfully implemented;• Prepare (DIP) detail implementation plan for the activities and weekly implementation plan;• Prepare and advise the hygiene promoters for their activities and design sessions for hygiene promotion activities;• Responsible for all sort of internal and external reports;• In collaboration with the program team and coordination, determine the strategic direction of the program in the short and medium term and map out activities, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and budgets; • Collaborate effectively with other line managers and the coordination team;• Manage the program team. Ensure that they are wholly involved in program planning and direction;• Collaborate with the Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (AMEU) to assess need, monitor activities, and evaluate program progress. Ensure that lessons learned in the course of implementation are integrated into the program to ensure that it remains responsive and relevant;• Provide input and regularly review all FLAT Follow-Up for ongoing program together with the relevant department manager and Program Coordinator;• Be alert to opportunities arising for learning, collaboration and partnership that may enhance program quality and responsiveness;• Identify and interact with existing WASH initiatives in the base, including UN, GO’s and NGO’s, and community initiatives;• Develop and implement an exit strategy in collaboration with his/her team, AME unit and the Program Coordinator;• Liaise with the WASH Technical Working Group and its participants/ partners;• Report regularly (as requested) to the Area Coordinator.• Prepare and develop the Project Management tools (i.e. PMF, Log frame, BFU, FS etc);• Develop team capacity at both the individual and group level by organizing/ facilitating trainings internally or through specialist agencies / individuals;

• Need assessments, Participatory Rural Appraisals, FGD and stakeholder analyses. • Liaises with Governmental and non Governmental Agencies.• Community based committees’ formation for prioritized projects. • Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with community-based organizations or other civil society groups. • Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the programme and the beneficiary involvement strategy of ACTED.• Mobilize the community in the effective use of the community resources.• Mobilize communities for the prioritizing of recovery activities and strategies.• Facilitates the capacity building and setup of representative community committees (steering committees).• Identify unskilled and skilled Cash for Work beneficiaries in close cooperation with the steering committee. • Ensure, through daily dialogues and consultations that the strategy of the projects and the commitments of the various stakeholders are adhered to.
