Participated in the NSF REU in Advanced Materials Synthesis at the University of Virginia, where I conducted research on the complex oxide TiNb2O7 and its potential as a protective oxide for Refractory High-Entropy Alloys (RHEAs) used in turbine engines.

During my participation in the National Summer Undergraduate Research Project (NSURP), I conducted a finite element analysis (FEA) study on the trapeziometacarpal (TMC) joint, focusing on the biomechanical effects of osteoarthritic conditions. Utilizing FeBio software, I simulated various scenarios, including joint misalignment and cartilage degradation, to assess their impact on cartilage stress and strain. This research, carried out in collaboration with the Hand Research Laboratory at the University of Arizona, deepened my understanding of osteoarthritis and contributed to the ongoing efforts to develop advanced management mechanisms for the disease.

On a simulated mission to the moon, I was the Lead Mechanical Engineer for my team, where I contributed to my team in the design and development of a mission concept to the moon. I developed the mechanical subsystem, including suspension, chassis, wheels, and a GNC system.Our work culminated in a comprehensive Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and technical report, following NASA's rigorous mission lifecycle standards. Throughout the program, I honed my skills in project management, risk assessment, systems engineering, and the use of Siemens NX CAD software, preparing me for future opportunities in the aerospace industry.

Participated in NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS), a program designed to prepare community college students for STEM fields through immersive learning experiences.Mission 1: DiscoverEngaged in a 5-week online course to learn about NASA's missions and research. Developed a comprehensive report on In-Situ Resource Capabilities, evaluating the advantages and challenges of using space resources.Mission 2: ExploreTook on the role of Instruments Engineer in a gamified lunar mission simulation. Investigated and recommended instrumentation for mission success, developed design solutions, and navigated constraints to meet mission objectives. Gained hands-on experience in teamwork, project prioritization, and NASA’s workplace structure.
