• NPDES wastewater permitting / compliance: Preparation of renewal/amendment applications with technical support through permit issuance and ongoing compliance support. Discharge Monitoring Report preparation; water quality technical review and use of TCEQ’s Water Quality Standards and TEXTOX menus to project pollutant analytical requirements and permit limits. Examples of permit amendments include: outfall relocation, addition of waste stream(s), increased flow volume, increased permit limitations, removal of monitoring requirements. • 316(b) cooling water intake structure: Preparation of 316(b) applicability determination, requests for alternate schedules, support of entrainment and impingement sampling• Evaluation of industrial facility wastewater operations. • POTW wastewater permit applications and compliance support. • Multi-media audits (water, wastewater, air, waste) for trucking facilities to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations throughout the United States. Preparation of audit reports documenting findings and self-reports as necessary for submittal to State or Federal agencies.• Facility stormwater evaluations, permitting and plans. Ongoing compliance support.• Public water supply (PWS) systems: coordination to become a PWS, prepare requests and obtain approval for new and innovative technology treatment, prepare PWS monitoring plans, and provide ongoing technical and compliance support. • U.S. Fish and Wildlife and/or NOAA permitting; incidental take permitting.• Stormwater and wastewater auditing. • SPCC and New Jersey DPCC plan preparation and technical support. • Field work experience in storm water collection/visual inspections and wastewater sampling.• Technical review of proposed rules and legislation regarding water/wastewater as they are developed. Attend stakeholder meetings and coordinate with clients to prepare comments on proposed legislation and ensure clients are in compliance as new rules are implemented.

* Reviewed and drafted TPDES permits for industrial wastewater and stormwater dischargers in the state of Texas, consistent with TCEQ policies and procedures, and the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the US EPA. Ensured technical completeness of permit applications and worked with applicants to resolve any necessary issues. Established permit limits based upon Federal guidelines and Water-Quality based standards. Ensured permits were drafted in a manner consistent with personal and team goals, and communicated with applicants to provide technical assistance when needed. * Responded to public comments regarding permits, as well as responded to EPA comments or objections to TPDES permits.* Reviewed and drafted TCEQ Texas Land Application Permit (TLAP) applications. Prepared water balances and established limits for permits based upon information submitted.* Attended meetings with applicants to resolve difficult permitting issues and presented applicants with multiple compliance strategies that may be beneficial to meet the needs of the applicant.* Coordinated with various TCEQ staff members, legal team members, enforcement personnel, and field operations personnel to resolve issues on permits and ensure all areas of the Agency were considered in the permitting process.* Member of the TCEQ Water Quality Division Emergency Response team and State Operations Center response team. Attended multi-agency trainings to develop knowledge and be able to assist the TCEQ with the Agency's portion of response efforts.* Drafted 201e, Voluntary Cleanup Program, Dry Cleaner Remediation Program, and other special projects as needed.
