Within The Ohio State University's Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering, I assist in exploring and increasing understanding of the atmospheric fate and transport of per-and-polyfluorinated alkyl substances, or PFAS, with usage of a thermal gravimetric analyzer and differential scanning calorimetry device (TGA/DSC 3+). With experiment results, I analyze data trends of selected PFAS and reference compounds for their thermodynamic properties with the assistance of MATLAB coding software.
