Provided policy expertise, strategic and regulatory advice, and project oversight to a wide range of clients on issues related to implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the transition of benefits and populations to Medicaid managed care. Advised states, foundations, payers, providers, and other healthcare stakeholders on the implications of federal health reform and the redesign of state Medicaid programs. Analyzed and interpreted quantitative and qualitative data related to access to care and care delivery and payment reform.

Provided in-depth policy and quantitative analysis, client relations support, and project management for the healthcare consulting division of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. Monitored federal and state health policy developments, health care provider markets, and other emerging healthcare trends for a variety of clients.

Conducted national and statewide evaluations of HHS programs; served on OIG's Office of Evaluation and Inspections (OEI) Healthcare Reform Strategy Work Group. Led all phases of Congressionally-­requested studies assessing Medicaid managed care beneficiaries’ access to care. Contributed to development of OEI’s Strategic Plan for Oversight of Title 1 of the Affordable Care Act.

Served as project manager at a public policy research firm; helped run all aspects of international and domestic quantitative and qualitative research projects. Led proposal writing, development of survey and focus group instruments, data analysis and report drafting. Managed network of 20 research assistants, 5 analysts and an office of 5 full-­time employees.

Directed youth-­led development agency’s health education program in rural Uganda; taught at local schools and health clinics; collaborated with local and national governments and NGOs to provide health resources to local communities.
