I’m a biomedical engineer from Phoenix, AZ and I recently graduated with my masters from the University of Arkansas. I'm currently working for I3R at the UofA as a clinical trials engineer. I developed a passion for engineering and improving the wellbeing of individuals in high school, and then in college I was drawn to biomedical engineering because I feel it is a great field to impact a person’s quality of life through innovation, collaboration, and hands-on work. I3R is a wonderful place to nourish and build upon that passion. My college coursework was a combination of mechanical, computational, and entrepreneurial engineering classes. My academic laboratory research was focused on better understanding and improving the geometry of provisional stenting techniques and researching the current literature on drug-eluting stents. I utilized SolidWorks to design a computational model to demonstrate the fluid dynamics of blood flow through healthy and diseased bifurcated coronary arteries. I also acquired vast knowledge about customer research, product development, and marketing schemes.In addition to my coursework, I have been an active participant on the D1 Women’s Volleyball team at the University of Arkansas for 6 years; and I was the team captain for 3 of those years. Through athletics, I gained exceptional time management skills and work ethic, and the ability to effectively communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. I also have a proven history of showcasing flexibility, adaptability, and resourcefulness in fast-paced, unpredictable environments.
