Hailey joined the KMKNO Communications team in September 2018 as the Junior Communications.Hailey, who is from Wagmatcook First Nation, now lives in Millbrook with her family. After completing her first year in the Bachelor of Arts program at Cape Breton University and being on the Dean’s list, Hailey realized she wanted to do something more hands on. The following fall she enrolled in Applied Communication Arts at NSCC, graduating with Honours in 2011. She then furthered her education with a major in Graphic Design, graduating in 2013. While attending college, Hailey worked at the CleanWave restaurant and closely with her community on numerous of projects including at the Community Cable Channel, and coordinating community development and an Elders’ video project. Since graduating, Hailey has gained significant graphic design experience working under the guidance of the lead designer of a non- profit organization. In the last few years, Hailey has dedicated her time balancing her passion of doing graphic design for her community, with her love of caring for her two beautiful daughters.
