During my time at J.W. Mitchell High School, I took intensive journalism classes where I discovered my passion for writing, graphic design, and photography. While on the school newspaper, The HoofBeat, I worked my way up from Staff Reporter to Editor-in-Chief. Through this, I honed my journalism skills and learned how to lead a team while managing a publication. After earning my high school diploma in Florida, I moved on to study Publishing full time at Emerson College in Boston, MA. Majoring in Writing, Literature, and Publishing with a publishing concentration and double minoring in Journalism and Peace and Social Justice, my expected graduation date is Spring 2025. At Emerson, I’ve found a wonderful community while being a part of Your Magazine. At Your Magazine, I have been able to grow my passion and skills for the publication process through graphic design alongside so many creatively-talented students.Besides being a full-time student, I work as a freelance journalist in Boston while also holding a part-time barista job at Starbucks. Some of my current positions include Head Designer and Assistant Managing Editor for Your Magazine and Head of Design for Palette Magazine.
