Inventory Control Specialist
CurrentResponsible for all packages coming into and leaving the B2S Life Sciences workplace which includes but not limited to packaging and labeling of all outgoing packages and unpacking and checking in of all incoming packages.Entry of material received from internal and external customers into inventory management system for accurate tracking.Inputting and tracking of valuable information in inventory management system to ensure compliance of processes and procedures.Pull samples from inventory and prep for internal delivery or external shipments.Load pertinently packing slips and safety data sheets into appropriate systems.Aliquot material in preparation of internal use or long-term storageWorks with each department to reconcile all deliveries ensuring accurate receipt of shipment.Ensures compliance with B2S SOP for labeling, places shipment(s) into temporary storage (or appropriate storage location for hazardous goods) and records all incoming shipments.Rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Purchasing Group to rectify damages and shortages.Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor.Maintains inventory and adequate supply of shipping materials and orders supplies, as needed.Prepare appropriate packing for outgoing shipments, including programming dataloggers, etc.Provides quality control (QC) for shipment activities.Collects and organizes mailings and shipments.Completes final inspections as per the shipping instructions and all relevant SOPs.Updates and maintains logistics policies and procedures.Provides accurate and timely information and communication with each department.Maintains a working understanding of export, import, and domestic & foreign customs regulations including IDOT and IATA.Maintain equipment used in shipping and receiving including printer, label maker, temperature-controlled cabinets, shipping scale, etc.
