My role in this position is based around materials testing in the asphalt laboratory of Professor Hesp, offered through the Department of Chemistry, which include:- Aging and rheological testing of straight and filled asphalt cement binders for road construction- Research with an emphasis on obtaining a better understanding of long term pavement performance- Data entry and analysis duties using statistical software

- Laboratory analysis of water quality, DNA samples, contaminants- Field work to conduct water quality, habitat, and biological surveys- Habitat restoration activities such as augmenting spawning areas for fish and planting trees in riparian zones- Assisting in data analysis using statistical and GIS software- Assist with research proposal preparations - General lab maintenance, maintaining field equipment, data entry duties
