Hailey McBride is a freshman at San Jose State University. Hailey has plans to obtain a Bachelor Science degree as an Athletic Training major in the Kinesiology program, and plans to minor in Nutrition and Food Science. She is working hard to educate herself in human physical activity, nutrition, and athletics, so she can one day become a successful Athletic Trainer and work with young athletes everywhere. She is 18 years old and is from Huntington Beach, California. Hailey is a very active person, her interests include swimming, playing sports such as water polo and soccer, and going to the gym with her friends. She very approachable, loves being around people and working with children.Hailey’s love for swimming and physical activity motivates her to learn about athletic training. She has never personally had a devastating injury but she has seen the impact an injury can make on a young athlete and in the future hopes to help prevent, treat, and rehabilitate sports related injuries. As a result of getting a BS degree in Kinesiology Hailey expects to start a career in sports medicine, working as a professional, or high school athletic trainer. One of her main goals in life is to surround herself with others that she can help and change their lives in a positive way. She is very drawn toward working with young athletes because of their positive attitudes and motivation. Hailey feels that her background in sports gives her a strong connection to young people so she is very motivated to earn her degree quickly and start working in the field she is so passionate about.
