Over the last three years of study as an Electrical Engineering major at Penn State University, I have balanced a rigorous course load of technology, science, and mathematics courses in addition to hands-on learning experiences. An excellent course to highlight would be EE 210 (Electrical Engineering - Circuits and Devices). This course introduces more in depth concepts of Electrical Engineering. While in high school I was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society and completed a 4-year engineering course. The engineering course had many affiliations with Penn State, Blue Roof Technology, and required many hands-on projects to be submitted. I was also a part of the First Inspires Robotic Team for 6 years where I designed, fabricated, and programmed robots to partake in various obstacles. Unlike battle bots, First Inspires robots have to be programmed and wired correctly to perform a completely autonomous mode during the first section of the matches. I ended high school by graduating with a high honors diploma. My work experience as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor/Coach shows that I know how to work under pressure and as a team. I currently hold a head guard position at White Oak Heritage Pool. This position comes with the responsibilities of managing a team of 20+ lifeguards, and directing them correctly in case of an emergency. Throughout my Lifeguarding career, I have saved the lives of adults and children. With my degree I want to continue to save lives by developing and testing products that are innovative and safe.
