As an experienced educator with over 16 years of classroom and leadership experience, I now serve as Program Coordinator at the Community Foundation DeKalb County, a role I've held since August 2021. In this position, I oversee grants, scholarships, and our youth philanthropy program (Voices of Philanthropy), combining my educational background and passion for serving my community to make a lasting impact. I collaborate closely with our nonprofit partners, working to strengthen relationships that enhance the Foundation’s service to DeKalb County.With a well-rounded skill set and a focus on proactive, collaborative problem-solving, I thrive in managing complex projects and streamlining processes to maximize impact. As the staff member overseeing the Grant and Scholarship Committees, I work closely with community volunteers and leaders to guide thoughtful decision-making and ensure our programs are impactful. In my role, I implement the Foundation’s initiatives and work to strengthen our grants and scholarship programs, whether through coordinating events, refining internal processes, or developing clear and compelling marketing materials.I hold a B.S. in Secondary Education - Spanish from Butler University, a valid State of Indiana teaching license, and have completed Purdue Extension's Facilitative Leadership Workshop. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, I actively pursue professional development opportunities to continue growing as a leader and community advocate.
